Mid Ohio Win, and Another Track Record
06-20-09
With some of the equipment problems that have been plaguing the Kaufmann Racing team this '09 season fixed, Andrew "Ace" Caddell seems to be back on track with two track records in the last two races and a convincing win at Mid Ohio this weekend.
Things looked good through practice and qualifying with Ace setting fastest times in all sessions, including a 10 second advantage in a wet practice on Friday.
"Kaufman Racing gave me a great car and I just tried to set a pace and then stick to it," said Caddell. "The track conditions changed a little bit during the race and my BFGoodrich Tires were loving it, so my car just kept getting faster as the race went on. These Ford Mustangs are so much fun to drive and I was having a blast out there. It's fantastic to come out on top once again!"
With only two races left in the season, Caddell holds the points lead, as he has all season, and is hopefull of maintaining that lead in the face of stiff competition from T.C. Motorsports Ted Anthony Jr. and others.
